Cargill Cup
Dedicated to the memory of William B. Cargill who was swept overboard on January 15, 1998 during the Fort Lauderdale to Key West Race.
This cup was created to promote Safety at Sea and to recognize the Captain and Crew of Bandana who came to the immediate assistance of Dove in her fruitless search for her lost crew member. It is a perpetual trophy that will be awarded when appropriate to that boat that exhibits outstanding seamanship and attention to safety for her own crew and for others at sea.
