Castaway Kids Club at Lauderdale Yacht Club is where summer memories are made. Designed for children ages 3 to 12, CKC offers a safe, structured, and high-energy environment filled with games, swimming, themed activities, creative projects, and plenty of fun with friends.
Our experienced counselors create a supportive atmosphere where kids feel confident, included, and excited to participate. Whether your child is joining us for a full week or a single day, they’ll enjoy an active camp experience that blends recreation, friendship, and classic club traditions.
From pool time and pizza Mondays to themed snacks and age-based group activities, CKC is built to keep campers engaged while giving parents peace of mind.

CKC Camp 2026 FAQ
Quick answers for a smooth camp week, what to pack, how swimming works, food, fees, and more.

|
What to Wear & Pack
Campers should dress in shirts and comfortable shorts with a bathing suit under their clothing. Please do not pack clothes with a midriff or clothing with offensive language/characters/symbols.

Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, spray sunscreen, rash guard, etc.)

Flip-flops or sandals for the pool
Please label everything. Items get left behind when kids are having fun.

Swimming & Swim Bands
All campers must take a swim test with LYC Lifeguards on their first day. Campers receive a color swim band daily and must keep it on.
If a camper is not wearing their band, they will be treated as a non-swimmer for the remainder of that day.
RED: Non Swimmer, Life jacket Mandatory.
ORANGE: Can swim - can not make it the length of the pool.
YELLOW: Swim half to full length of the pool but can not do it again.
GREEN: Swim the full length of the pool and ready to go again.

Camp Lunch & Snacks
Kid-friendly snacks and lunch are provided daily for both full and half day campers. You may pack lunch/snacks from home if you prefer.
Please be courteous when choosing food from home and help us keep a peanut-free environment. If your child does not like or cannot eat the lunch provided, please pack lunch from home.

Monday: Papa John's Pizza Day (LYC kitchen is closed)

Tuesday–Friday: Buffet including Chicken Fingers, French Fries, Mac and Cheese, Caesar Salad, Watermelon, and a new rotating item everyday (listed below).

Friday: Beef Tacos

Beverages: Lemonade, Water, Gatorade (Gatorade is Summer Camp Only.

Snacks: choose from various chip options, plus themed snacks during the week as an activity.
When attendance is lower Tuesday–Friday., CKC may order individual meals off the kids menu from the LYC kitchen.

Fees, Sign-Up, Credits

$50 one-time, per-summer, non-refundable registration fee (per camper)
-
$20 surcharge for reservations made within 48 hours
-
$20 drop-in rate if your child is not signed up in advance
-
No show with no notification before camp starts results in a non-refundable full charge
-
If you notify us and there is availability, CKC may offer a credit toward a future day (2026 Summer Camp)

Lost & Found + Medication
Lost & Found: Located next to the front door of the CKC room (drop-off/pick-up area).
Please label everything clearly with your child’s name and phone number. Unclaimed items are donated after 30 days.
Medication: LYC will not administer, dispense, or store any medications other than epi-pens. Medications should be administered at home, or special arrangements made to visit the child during the day.
